ALBEI membership
Develop. Inspire. Connect.
ALBEI brings LGBTQ+ board directors, C-suite executives and senior leaders together to advance LGBTQ+ inclusion at the highest levels of Australian business.
Why the room matters
You may already have a strong professional network, and may never have felt the need to join an LGBTQ+ business group. Some senior leaders who come to ALBEI's gatherings have told us exactly that. What changes their perspective is being in the room.
Despite their seniority, some still find themselves editing what they say in professional settings. With us, they've felt able to speak openly about their careers and the experiences that shaped them as leaders, and found meaningful connections with accomplished peers.
“It's the first time I didn't feel the need to pause before I spoke, as I knew everyone in the room would understand.”

ALBEI proudly runs with no paid staff, relying on the support of our members and of companies across Australia. Our directors are volunteers. They have covered their own costs for board meetings, including travel, and for representing ALBEI at events in Australia and overseas.
Membership fees pay for the basics of running a registered charity: website hosting, digital tools, and accounting and financial support. Any future surplus will go towards supporting LGBTQ+ senior leaders, and we'll be transparent about how it's used.
We run public events, members' events and invitation-only events matched to each membership level.
